"Easter Sunday"
What is Easter ?
Easter is a festival celebrated by the Christians. It’s mainly falls on Sundays and
celebrated all over the globe . This celebration is done due to resucretion of Jesus
Christ. According to the Testament of the Bible, Easter is celebrated after three days
of crucification of Jesus by the Romans.
Why Easter is called as Easter ?
The naming of the celebration as “Easter” seems to go back to the name of a pre-
Christian goddess in England, Eostre, who was celebrated at beginning of spring.
The only reference to this goddess comes from the writings of the Venerable Bede,
a British monk who lived in the late seventh and early eighth century.
Happenings of this day
The Christians go to the chruch and say prayers . They sing holy songs and then at
the end they have wine and bread .
Easter is a time to remember all the pain and his sufferings and say Amen. Easter
means God has risen from dead and walking around the cities and went to talk to
the disciples and went back to heaven.
Most Christians refer to the week before Easter as "Holy Week", which contains the
days of the Easter Triduum, including Maundy Thursday, commemorating
the Maundy and Last Supper, as well as Good Friday, commemorating
the crucifixion and death of Jesus In Western Christianity, Eastertide, or the
Easter Season, begins on Easter Sunday and lasts seven weeks, ending with the
coming of the 50th day, Pentecost Sunday. In Eastern Christianity, the season of
Pascha begins on Pascha and ends with the coming of the 40th day, the Feast of theAscension.
